EXO Returns to the Philippines for their Latest and Biggest Tour Yet

Almost a year after the roaring, record-breaking success of EXO PLANET #2: THE EXO’LUXION IN MANILA held last January 23 and 24, 2016, PULP Live World announces that EXO will return to the Philippines for EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA this February 25 and 26, 2017 at Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. Filipino fans can expect that the Korean boy group hailed by Dazed Digital as “the world’s biggest boy band” will pull all stops to surpass their history-making previous tour. XIUMIN, SUHO, LAY, BAEKHYUN, CHEN, CHANYEOL, D.O., KAI, and SEHUN will showcase their out-of-this-world vocals, dancing prowess, and appeal performing hits such as “Mama,” “Wolf,” “Growl,” :Overdose,” “Call Me Baby,” “Lucky One” and “Monster,” among many others.

EXO is a Chinese-South Korean boy band based in Seoul, formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011. Last 2013, EXO released their first best-selling album, XOXO, that contained their breakthrough hit song, “Growl.” This album shot EXO to stardom having them win the Disk Daesang Award (highest award) at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and receiving the Album of the Year Award at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards. XOXO sold over one million copies, making the group the fastest-selling Korean artist in the last twelve years. Their third EP Overdose (2014) made EXO the highest-charting Korean male act on Billboard 200 at No. 129 and it peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.

During EXO’s first world tour in Seoul, EXO FROM EXO PLANET #1 – THE LOST PLANET, tickets were sold out within 1.47 seconds showing the high popularity of the group. With this experience, the ticketing site YES24 prepared more servers to cater to the massive number of fans this time around, but were faced with a recordbreaking number of 1.2 million Korean fans visiting the site all at the same time!

When PULP Live World made the announcement for EXO PLANET #2 - The EXO’luXion in Manila in late 2015, the tickets for the original night sold out merely hours after they went on sale, that a second night was added to meet the high demand! Their third full-length album EX’ACT released last June 2016 became the most pre-ordered K-Pop album of all time.

And now, we witness EXO at their highest point yet with their latest and biggest tour ever. In Seoul alone, at
least 84,000 EXO-Ls flocked to their six-day EXO’RDIUM tour at the massive Olympic Park Stadium, where they entertained their fans for three hours and a half with more than 30 songs in their set list, making groundbreaking K-Pop entertainment history—never before has an act performed six times in the colossal venue. With EX’ACT selling 660,000 copies and its double title tracks “Monster” and “Lucky One” effortlessly climbing charts (both in Korea and overseas), EXO is set to make bigger and bigger waves as they once again take the world by storm. And once more, Filipino EXO-Ls will light up Manila as we welcome the insanely dynamic and talented group for EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA.

EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA is brought to you by SM Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment and PULP Live World.

Tickets are now available at Ticketnet outlets or call 911-5555 or online at www.ticketnet.com.ph! It will be held this February 25 and 26, 2017 at Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. EXO PLANET #3 – The EXO’rDIUM in Manila Day 1 (February 25, 2017) will promptly start at 7:30PM while Day 2 (February 26, 2017) will promptly start at 5:30PM.

The Philippine Music Festival

This 2017, one of the country’s most promising musical movements, Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival, looks to transform the nation’s positive visions of a better country into reality with this year’s theme – Forward – forward to a better future, united in songs and spirit.

Last year’s salvo focused on tapping into the millennials, to unite them through music and inspire them to sing and visualize as one of what their ideal Philippines would be. With a massive response from the millennials who participated in last year’s music festival, Fusion 2017 now challenges them to use their visions and transform them into actions that would propel the nation forward. After all, there is no one better to shape this country’s tomorrow than the true hope of its future – the youth.

With a bigger cause and tougher challenge, Fusion 2017 promises to be even better and much bolder than it has ever been before. Attendees can expect masterful collaborations between Fusion’s fresh and veteran artists with world-class production, a massive gathering of some of the country’s biggest stars such as Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Andrew E., Yeng Constantino, Aegis, former Urbandub Gabby Alipe, famous love teams James Reid and Nadine Lustre, internet sensations Migz and Maya, university heartthrobs 6Cyclemind, Gracenote and Callalily, The Voice Kids Kyle Echarri and Lyca Gairanod, indie bands Ransom Collective and Miles Experience, Asia’s Song Bird Regine Velasquez, rising dance beauty Yassi Pressman among others.

Fusion 2017 will also be introducing the top musicians who joined its independent musician talent search Alab: The Independent Musician Rising Awards. The artists will be unveiled together with a grand production full of lights and sound, dance and songs.

In addition to the efforts of the team behind Fusion, Carat Philippines, an event of this magnitude was made in collaboration with some of the biggest media networks for TV, radio, print, and digital, together with both local and global brands such as the Tourism Promotions Board, 7-Eleven, Max’s Restaurant, Hapee Toothpaste, Philippine National Bank, Tanduay, and Chevrolet Going beyond support, different student organizations chose to be at the forefront of the Fusion Forward movement of bannering the love for our own music and country. With organizations like the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants in NCR, UP Communication Research Society, and Junior Financial Executives of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Fusion’s advocacy rallied into 25 campus tours including schools like the University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, among others.

Fusion 2017 is expecting a whopping 45,000-strong crowd to play as one in one night. Even with a bigger, better and bolder take for 2017, the ticket price still remains the same: 2,000PHP for VIP, 1,000PHP for Gold and 300PHP for Silver. Music lovers can easily buy their tickets online at SM Tickets and TicketNet.
